      Cynthia Flahive, co-owner of Flahive Law Corporation has maintained a thriving estate planning practice in the Folsom area for nearly nine years. Cynthia graduated from the local Lincoln Law School, Sacramento, and obtained her undergraduate education from Southern California College, Costa Mesa. Cynthia has personally drafted thousands of estate plans for clients throughout the state of California. In addition, Cynthia is an accomplished public speaker, and has educated thousands of people on the complex areas of probate, trusts, estate taxes and guardianships. Her vast experience has given her the opportunity to speak on several radio programs as well as being featured as "Your Attorney Next Door," a news insert program designed to educate the public on various legal topics, which was produced for several news channels.

 

   Early in her career, Cynthia gained invaluable legal experience working for the El Dorado County District Attorney's office where she handled pleadings and motions on several career criminal cases. Cynthia also worked for several years with the Department of Corrections, Legal Affairs Division, personally arguing and winning hundreds of cases on behalf of the State of California regarding involuntary medicating of inmates under "Keyhea" in several Correctional facilities in California including Folsom Prison, Vacaville, and Pelican Bay.

   Her passion is in educating the public on the very critical matter of pre-death planning. Cynthia first learned of the critical importance of estate planning when she worked with a local "probate" auction house. " It was an eye-opening experience to see families bid on and try to buy back family heirlooms that had been handed down for generations and were now being sold at auctions. It was at that moment I decided how important it was that people understand what truly happens when a family member passes. So many people are so misinformed."
